Learning To Fly – A Tribute to Tom Petty

The First Wave’s is America’s finest 80’s New Wave tribute band. This Midwestern band specializes in 80’s alternative and New Wave, covering artists such as Depeche Mode, The Cure, New Order, Duran Duran, Billy Idol, Gary Numan, etc. The band celebrates a great period of truly innovative music. The First Wave combines an energetic live musical presence with unique video visuals (including footage of the original artists) to present a thrilling show that is not to be missed.

The acoustic blues duo of Jim Ohlschmidt and Steve Cohen harks back to the classic harmonica and guitar duos of Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee, and Cephas and Wiggins. Blending Texas, Mississippi, Memphis, and Chicago blues styles, the Ohlschmidt/Cohen duo performs selections by Lightnin’ Hopkins, John Hurt, and Muddy Waters in addition to some of their own original blues tunes and arrangements.
